This piece is a tribute to one of the most formative moments in classic anime history: Son Goku’s first true defeat at the hands of the legendary mercenary Tao Pai Pai.
Sent by the Red Ribbon Army to eliminate Goku and recover the Dragon Balls, Tao Pai Pai went into battle—and in the blink of an eye, threw a massive stone pillar into the sky, riding it like a rocket. At the foot of the iconic Korin Tower, together with Upa in the Sacred Land of Korin, Goku encountered a martial artist whose lethal precision and icy calculation pushed him to his absolute limits for the very first time.
Designed in a heavy vintage bootleg style, with distressed textures and striking Japanese kanji, this print captures the nostalgic grit of early Dragon Ball. A tribute to the arc that forced Goku to climb Korin Tower, train with Master Korin, and prove what it truly means to be a warrior.
